There were definitely some tears rolling

Wedding Video :)

Finally got our wedding video back! I may have teared up a little just watching it because of all the memories. I wish I could relive that day, it was so amazing. Getting married in a castle to the love of my life and spending the day with family and friends made for the best day ever. This video just shows a little of how perfect that day was and how fun the reception was. Thanks to the wonderful Mark Keysor for making the most beautiful wedding video ever!

Saw the funniest video today about "Instagram Husbands". Jordan watched it and immediately said, "That's me, I'm an Instagram Husband." That was embarrassing.... Watch this video and see if you can relate or just get a good laugh out of it.

True Love

On Friday Jordan and I had the chance to go to the Draper Temple. The temple is such a wonderful experience. I sometimes find it hard to get into the right mindset before entering the temple. So Jordan turned on an audio talk from Elder Holland that he gave to a BYU audience titled "How Do I Love Thee." If you have not heard or read this talk it is amazing and teaches so much about love in all different relationships. Go read it! Anyway I wanted to just share some of my favorite parts about this talk and relate it to what I have learned in the last two months of marriage.

Elder Holland emphasizes Charity- the pure love of christ and how we should exercise Charity in all relationships especially our marriages. "It doesn't come without effort and it doesn't come without patience but, like salvation itself, in the end it is a gift given by God to the true followers of his son Jesus Christ." Everybody falls short of perfect love. We strive to meet the love that Christ showed us, but sometimes we fall short. I have learned to not expect perfection. People make mistakes especially ourselves and disappointment sets it. The beauty in imperfection is that there is always room to improve.

Love=Faith. Giving ourselves totally to another person is a true act of faith. Marriage is faith. I have learned you have to have faith in your spouse to have a happy marriage. Without faith a happy marriage is a worried marriage. Elder Holland states that to succeed in love you need to hold on as tightly as you can to the other person and jump into the pool together. Marriage is we not me. That is the joy in marriage, always having someone to turn to in need. It is not a scary thing it is an exciting thing.

Another thing I have learned is how much Jordan strengthens me. He is always bettering himself spiritually. I get nervous when he goes to Desert Book because I know he is going to come home with 2 or 3 books on the history of the church. I love his drive he has for learning. He told me one time that if he could he would be a church historian and for his birthday he wanted to go to the church history museum. He said the more he learns about the church the more true it becomes. He has definitely taught me so much and is continually teaching me and making me a better person.

Wedding Day Bliss

August 8th 2015
Best Day Of My Life Yet!

Wedding planning may be stressful but all the stress was worth it because of how perfect the wedding day turned out. I thought about this day since I was a little girl, just like every other little girl, but I could have never imagined that it would have turned out as beautiful as it did. We chose to do the reception in Eden at a place overlooking Pineview Dam. I have to give thanks to my mom for making the reception amazing. She spent so many hours doing crafts and buying the little things that you wouldn't even think to get. So if anyone needs a wedding planner call my mom she is an angel. Words can't explain the all the feelings I felt on that day. Walking out of the temple holding hands with my husband and opening the temple doors seeing all our friends and family cheering us on brought tears to my eyes. This was the best decision I have ever made and I will always cherish it.

Formals

Posting lots of pictures today but it's okay because wedding pictures are fun to look at. Our Formals were taken in the beautiful Tony's Grove. And if you are reading this and don't know where this place is look it up and go up there it is AMAZING! It's in Logan canyon. Also Kamille Marshall was still fabulous maybe even better this shoot because these pictures were to die for.
I got my wedding dress at Alta Moda Bridal in Salt Lake City. They were the most wonderful people in helping me find my dream dress. Anne Barge was the designer of my wedding dress. You can find her on Instagram @annebargebride.
Jordan got his suit at Express in Salt Lake City, he just wore a simple pink tie from Nordstroms and also got his shoes from Nordstroms Rack.

Engagements

I know I know it has been forever since we got our engagements taken but now I am finally posting my favorite ones. A little background on our engagements because we had so many questions about them at the wedding.

Where were your pictures taken? We had our pictures taken in Mantua. There is this beautiful spot that is called Willard Peak. It overlooks the whole valley and that is how we got so many great pictures also because of our photographer which leads to the next question...

Who was your photographer? We had the wonderful Kamille Marshall. She is located in North Ogden and she is the kindest person to work with. She definitely taught Jordan and I a lot about how to pose for a picture which helped for our future shoots. I would recommend her for any photo shoot you are looking for, especially weddings!

How did you choose what to wear for pictures? Every outfit I wore was from Bohme, and all of Jord's were from PacSun. We chose to just keep it simple, no patterned shirts, no bright colored pants stuff like that. Also we wanted opposite colors to compliment each other. Don't think about it too much, choose what looks good on both of you and go from there. We probably wore the most simple outfits and it made for amazing pictures.
